My research focuses on conservation management, decision making, evidence-based conservation, with the aim of protecting threatened species and ecosystems from extinction. I’m committed to bridging scientific research, policy and practice, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of decisions.

My research has enabled me to work with conservation managers and policy makers around the world about how they make decisions, their successes and their constraints. Interdisciplinary skills underpin my research and have shaped my applied approach to science and knowledge exchange.
